We have on site Dental Hygienists for your convenience. If you do suffer from any form of gum disease seeing the Dental Hygienist every 3-6 months is an important part of keeping your teeth long term. Studies show that people who visit the hygienist are much less likely to lose their teeth than those that don't.

Visiting a dental hygienist is an important part of keeping your teeth and gums healthy long term. Studies show that people who visit the hygienist are much less likely to lose their teeth from gum disease than those that don't.
Gum disease is entirely preventable. Its treatment will include regular visits seeing the dental hygienist for treatment and working with us to help improve and maintain your dental health. Frequency and intervals of appointments will be discussed with you.

Are you brushing correctly?
Use small circular movements with the brush held at 45 degrees to the tooth.
Move systematically around the mouth.
Remember to clean the inside surfaces and the biting surfaces.
Dont forget behind the top and bottom teeth.
A good technique will take 2 minutes.
Are you flossing?
Debris accumulates between the teeth.
If not removed, bacteria will develop and plaque will form.
Use the floss with a back and forth motion and with a vertical action until all the plaque is removed.
Work the floss gently under the gum.

To avoid wasted clinical time, late arrivals, short notice cancellations (less than one full working days’ notice) or a missed Hygienist appointments are charged at the FULL hygiene session rate.
